ECHOES

 Inspire . . . Inform . . . Invite

As printed in the May 2011 issue of Echoes:

Book studies and movies will be two ways – in addition to field trips (see separate article about the trips) – that the Sabbatical Team hopes to involve the congregation in our own sabbatical experience this summer. All of these activities will relate to the theme of Pastor Dee’s sabbatical, Exploring Creative Play and Spirituality.  Kick-off for Summer Series will be in May, giving us a head start on our own Sabbatical Summer experience!

During the month of May the Sunday Morning adult class will be studying and discussing the book Catch Your Breath, God’s Invitation to Sabbath Rest, by Don Postema. No reservations are needed to participate in this study. Just join the group in the Youth Room at 9:00 Sunday mornings.

Evening Book Study Group – An evening study group will be offered monthly (May – August) using selections from Pastor Dee’s suggested reading list. This group will read one book (or selected portions of a designated book) prior to each meeting of the group, and gather on the 2nd Thursday of each month for fellowship and discussion. These evenings are sure to be both fun and enlightening! Please join us!
